Sr. Java Developer
Performance Profile:
-Support and maintain current J2EE applications in an Oracle Enterprise Application Server environment
-Perform lead role in working with existing J2EE junior developers
-Interact with existing J2EE junior developers and Oracle database administrator to maintain current J2EE applications and work to support customization efforts to existing J2EE applications
-Work with existing J2EE developers and Oracle database administrator to develop any new J2EE applications and work to ensure new application development endeavors are capable with existing J2EE frameworks and are deployable and sustainable within the current infrastructure
-Work with Oracle 10g Portal and Oracle Collaboration Applications to develop new features using Oracles supported J2EE framework.
-Interaction with client
-Assist with business development activities as needed
Position-specific Required Skills
4-6+ years of experience in the following:
-Experience working with J2EE applications to include frameworks, such as Servlets, JSP, Ibetas, Struts, and Hibernate in an Oracle database environment
-Experience with Tomcat, Apache, and Oracle Application Server (HTTP) web servers
-Working with web servers and web services to include understanding of different communication protocols, integrating third-party applications using web services, understanding of PKI and PKI components, and ability update, modify, and upgrade existing web server infrastructures
-Working with Stored Procedures and Triggers to handle backend requests in a J2EE application environment
-SQL and PL/SQL languages
- Oracles J2EE framework to include creating, developing, deploying, and maintaining Oracle Containers for Java (OC4J)
-Experience working with and maintaining development, test, training, and production environments and a strong understanding of migration and change control processes
-Experience and exposure to SDLC processes and the ability understand and work within these processes
-Bachelor's degree
Position-specific Desired Skills:
-Strong knowledge and experience in supporting and maintaining J2EE applications using Oracle Application Sever
-Ability to support and assist J2EE development efforts in creating new J2EE applications
-Minimum industry experience required 5 plus years of J2EE experience supporting and creating new J2EE applications
